Maroon 5 payphone what is the song about

It is pretty straight forward. He's trying to call his baby to make sure she's okay. You're a freakin multi-millionaire and you're using a pay phone? Can you even find a pay phone any more? You haven't paid attention to the relationship like you should have, and now you've taken to whinging about "Happy ever after" and have discovered Give us all a break, and pay someone who can write lyrics that aren't utter non-sensical rubbish to go with your catchy tunes for a change.

She then decided to cheat on him unleashing unbelievable carnage in both their lives and none of it made any sense. The metaphor is the ridiculous developments caused by her self indulgent thoughtless actions. He steals a gun from hard core criminals to try to escape from the horror and loneliness he is experiencing and then the cops are after him.

I still Don't Understand Because people have been saying that he is trying to call her and she isnt picking up but she did thats how the song started and why is he blaming her because she didnt do anything he told her to stay back.

The clip is in an animated graphic novel style, drawn in panels. The clip shows the main character, presumably frontman Adam Levine, looking back on his relationship and heroically fighting monsters, rescuing old women from muggers, etc.

Towards the end, Wiz Khalifa appears in a hoodie, acting as Levine's crime-fighting sidekick. Levine was spotted shooting the video, making a call from a Los Angeles phone booth, fleeing from the police with model Bregje Heinen and speeding away in a classic sports car.

It is revealed in the video for Levine's role is a bank worker, he said: "I work at a bank, i have no self-confidence. The video begins with a flashforward that starts with a beleaguered Levine torching his ride and dialing a telephone number at a payphone. Another typical day at a Las Vegas seen from the decals on the police cars bank for Levine is shown next, which turns into chaos when some bandits enter and take charge some of the bank robbers are played by the other members of the band: guitarist James Valentine , drummer Matt Flynn , bassist Mickey Madden and keyboardist, previously a touring Maroon 5 member, PJ Morton — all of this happens while the song plays in the background.

Levine grabs a gun from one of the robbers and threatens to get rid of them. He and his female co-worker played by Dutch model Bregje Heinen escape, though Levine is shot in the arm, but when some cops mistake him for one of the robbers, Levine tells the female co-worker to hide in a car and steals a fake AC Cobra that belongs to Wiz Khalifa to get away from them.

A car chase follows and when Levine is almost caught by the police, he steers the stolen convertible onto the wrong side of the road and causes a huge explosion, which destroys one of the police cars. When he finally reaches his destination in Los Angeles, he passes by a place where Wiz Khalifa, the owner of the car, performed his rap earlier. After Levine gets out of the convertible, it also explodes and he enters a booth, injured, with the titular payphone, probably to call for help it is also likely that he is calling his female co-worker — this connects to the beginning of the video.

In the end the person comes to terms with it though. They say that this person does see a future with them anymore and doesnt even try to see what happiness they had in the past, which is communicated in the line "Oh, you turned your back on tomorrow, Cause you forgot yesterday".

The person is saying how they're not ok and how they're stuck this sadness of what could have been by saying the lines "I've wasted my nights,You turned out the lights Now I'm paralyzed, Still stuck in that time,When we called it love" croquis on October 07, Link. General Comment I think Adam Levine wrote this song about his ex-girlfriend. The song was released this month, the same month he broke up with Anne Vyalitsyna.

Just a guess. I think so too.. General Comment some good thoughts here. Think of the emotional turmoil, pain, and heartache that one experiences when that is found out. Nothing worse. My Interpretation "you turned your back on tomorrow 'Cause you forgot yesterday I gave you my love to borrow, But you just gave it away" These lines right here speak to me. She forgot that I gave her my love and she just tossed it aside.

She turned her back on me and the relationship. Women are so heartless. CarbonCore No they aren't, men are heartless. THATS why men are cruel and heartless. All else is clear. Basically if you give so much into a relationship you do expect something in return.

Just a thought He was all over her all the time. Maybe he should have let her breathe a little : Justasong on November 24, Link. Artists - M. Rate These Lyrics. More Maroon 5 Lyrics. We then see his anger at the girl, 'Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two? I have actually just watched the video and may have found a link to the meaning of the song at the start of the video, he is willing to risk his life to save her, highlighting the strong love he feels for her and then we see them split half way through the video perhaps highlighting a break up this is when the trouble starts we see problems coming at him from every angle, with police cars appearing from every where and he then has to swerve in the car to try and get back on track and avoid them, these represent the problems he is facing after the relationship showing how hard it is for.

We then see the end of the video and the car exploding, perhaps signalling an end to the relationship and then with him going to the payphone showing he just wants to get back to normal its a very vague link but one that fits. Think about when you have used a payphone and how you felt We see him in the beginning of the video when he shuts and throws his phone away in the fire perhaps because it hasn't got any change left in it I thought that's why he used the payphone instead of the cellphone I believe all of the change spent But why payphone???

Wouldn't minutes on a cell phone be more up-to-date???? I was listening to this song while reminiscing about my ex, and i could relate to his feelings. My ex-gf left me when she did not really been honest about herself. I had spent my whole money on her and there she went lying to my face. So I just decided to let her go and bring all our memories with her. Maybe he has given and done everything for her so they could have the best in life.

She still wasn't satisfied and was thinking she could find better. They could have done some things that were illegal to try and get the "finer things in life" mainly for her and some of those things may have now got the law watching them and he is gonna take all the blame and let her go live her new fairytale.

She doesn't know meaning of love or true happiness.
