Mark has Timberlands with Corden, which likely add about 1 cm or so more than Corden's dress shoes. Sly and an aged James Caan also looked more than an inch taller than Mark in golf shoes. I don't really think he is taller than Robert Downey Jr. Also, TBH for some reason Marky Mark gives a 5'7" range impression to me like many said here than 5'8".

He did have his cowboy boots and who knows what inside and Renner is slouching, but still, Mel is looking pretty "Sly" there. I used to like his music and what I also know is that he was a big fan of fitness and did lots of weight lifting, and he still does but not as hard as I imagine these days.
Most guys this age that have done lots of weightlifting and working out usually have shrunk. He is like a weak 5ft 8 now, possibly 5ft 7. You see him taller than Robert Downey Jr. I think you give off a taller impression Editor Rob. If anything, seeing Mel with Marky Mark suggests to me he hasn't lost much because even accounting for footwear, admitted 5'8" Joaquin Phoenix looked closer to Mel's height 15 years ago than Wahlberg does now.
Even Downey in Air America didn't look much different than Mark and Mel today -- I saw roughly a 3 cm difference between Mel and Robert walking side by side on the runway -- but with Garfield, Mel in 1. I'd agree Mel may have gone from say 5'9" flat to 5'8. Mel does take HGH and I'd guess at least Testosterone as well based on how much bigger his arms have gotten and still holds good posture so I wouldn't expect much height loss.
I think Mark may be one of those cm guys, though. Kurt Russell is still noticeably taller in his mid 60's and Joaquin Phoenix seems more a legit 5'8" to me. Christian: They always do that, especially guys who add 2". Johnny Depp, Wesley Snipes and Kirk Douglas struggled to reach 5'9" yet all claimed to be "only" 5'11". Ving Rhames is barely taller than Adam Sandler and claimed "only" 6 feet. Mel looks somewhere in that inch to 3 cm range taller in the photo, but 1.
However, Mel has those heeled boots he's worn a lot the past few years. They probably add a similar amount to what Pitt often wears. Marky Mark has dress shoes on the other hand so I'd think a disadvantage there as his look 1" max to me.
I think Mel has always been about 5'9", but Wahlberg is more of a 5'8" at best guy, imo. Mel isn't even a proper 5'10, and I thought you said he could have shrunk to 5'9 range today. He was shorter than ludacris right? I can't see him being taller than RDJ.
Elevators are normal for him in films. As the description comparing Mark and his brother Donnie illustrates, he clearly has an inflated view of himself.
I'm 5'6" myself and my buddy who's only 5'2", 5'3" at best I can see the top of his head , claims to be 5'5", so this is not uncommon. I always cringe when I hear my friend announce his height to people, but haven't the heart to tell him he's dreaming. My cousin and I are the same height, yet he tells people he's 5'8", so that's another example.
All guys lie about their height and the number of women they've been with. Rule of 3. But yeah, I was only half serious. I do believe it's foolish to base your ultimate conclusion on photos where feet aren't visible, but sometimes they're of interest, even as a novelty. I merely posted the photo with a question mark as ground is a questionable outdoors and we can't see feet as you mentioned. I've long thought Mark had to be somewhere from 5'7. Although Mark apparently wears elevators at times, which I didn't know until recently outside of the Italian Job.
Pena is a 5'7" guy btw. By seeing that photo I thought that Wahlberg was only 5'7". I am actually confused about Mark Wahlberg's height. Anywhere from 5'7" to 5'7. I would certainly rule out 5'8" though.
Very short. I think he is cm barefoot not more. I agree with the people here. It appears I was wrong about Marky Mark wearing elevator shoes as well. Apparently, he does wear them on occasion. I wouldn't guess him over 5'8" and it is possible he falls a bit short of the mark. Joaquin Phoenix could look a bit taller and more of a solid 5'8". A clear nailed on 5ft8 dude and as touch as many 6ft4 dudes. What are most of you people looking at or thinking when it comes to height.
Most of the real guys that the film Perfect Storm is based on, were of similar height. How the hell is that supposd to make you any less of a man?
I honestly thought he was 5'7" or around that 5 years ago. He also stood on a box in Broken City: Click Here Funny thing is, he's still never looked tall to me in movies so I don't know what Mark's girlfriend was talking about saying he looked 6'2". He's looked average at best in a few movies to me, but mostly still looks pretty short on screen.
He's probably fairly height and image conscious outside of movies, which may be part of why he favors 1. Btw, has anyone looked into how tall Mark's wife Rhea Durham is? She has 5'9" online listings and apparently got 5'9.
I'd be surprised if she was over 5'9", but if she's near it then it's difficult to see a 5'7" flat Wahlberg. Ludacris may well be his 5'8" claim, or he may well be just below at the cm he use to be listed at here.
Mark often wears Timberlands with casual clothes, but other times, basketball sneakers such as Nikes, Jordans etc. You rarely see Wahlberg in thin footwear. Marky Mark is an indomitable and unquestionable 5ft8 guy. Just like Kanye West. If he were 5'7 the Rock would be 6ft1 lol. Let me know please. This can be achieved just through the perspective of how the scene is shot, shoe lifts, or also using a box. The actor is interesting because he is still very successful, and audiences know they are being tricked about his height.
