Moody 7 months ago. I remember a couple of the titles but I never watched these either as a kid or later raising my own family. Bricat 7 months ago. SheriHeffner 7 months ago. But unfortunately they quit showing it. Gee thanks a LOT! I used to look forward to all of the Charlie Brown Specials.

Like 7 Reply Delete. Apple TV plus is on my iPhone. I have seen 3 episodes out of 6 currently of "The Snoopy Show" and all the 10 episodes of "Snoopy in Space". But I don't remember the rest of them because by then I was a teenager and didn't watch Easter cartoons.

OMG, I love holiday specials so much. Plus "Easter Yeggs" and a few other things. Seen the Bugs special online though it's gone now. Check Ebay or Amazon. I didn't like "Easter Is" all that much, though, because - I was 12 then - I had just come off of a bad bout with pneumonia, and it reminds me of that unpleasant incident.

So it's a little hard for me to enjoy because of that. John37 7 months ago. There is another special that was not on this list, from the same era - Daffy Duck's Easter Egg-Citement, from LittleMissNoName 7 months ago. Below is an article link just posted today from Cartoon Research about the Rankin Bass Easter specials. MrsPhilHarris 7 months ago. Andybandit 7 months ago. I only remember the Charlie Brown one.

I don't remember the other ones. I used to listen to Casey Kasem's American Top 40 every week with his tidbits. I would look forward to that and Dr. I remember seeing Easter Is once as a kid. It had a very Christian message and I believe it was produced by the same Lutheran Church television group that gave us the Davey and Goliath stop action series. Like 5 Reply Delete.

Easter Beagle was my favorite Easter special. Like 3 Reply Delete. By using our site, you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Top review. One reviewer of this typed that this is actually an adaptation based on a book, which I didn't know. Another mentioned that this is a rare Easter special, which surprises me, because I grew up watching this special and it's the most well-known to me, at least, anyway. I don't even remember ever hearing of nor seeing the two, other, Rankin-Bass Easter specials when I was little at all.

Although it hadn't been aired on regular t. I don't remember what year regular t. That was unexpected, I know for me anyway, at least. Still nevertheless, it's one of the most beloved holiday specials of all time. This and the third special are stop-motion animation, whereas the second is traditionally hand-drawn.

I haven't decided which of these is my most favorite yet, as I still have to see the third Easter special. The titular Easter bunny in this is to succeed in Col. Wellington B. Bunny's position in a contest to determine who will become the holiday's next chief Easter rabbit as he's retiring. Irontail, who is so named for his iron, prosthetic tail, which he uses as a replacement for his real tail after it was broken off when a kid accidentally skated over it.

That incident made Irontail very bitter, he's held a grudge against kids ever since. Despite this, he still agreed to partake in the contest anyway, just in vindictiveness and his intention is to ruin the holiday once it arrives again. He comes up with a plan to ensure his chances of winning and Peter ends up oversleeping. After failing to keep his word and losing the contest, Peter is exiled from April Valley and Irontail becomes the new chief Easter bunny.

But Peter vows to compensate and take the position that is more rightfully and suitably his. Along the quest, he meets the French caterpillar, Antoine, whose time machine transports them throughout the various holidays as Peter attempts to give away alterations of the eggs; the talking bonnet, Bonnie; and a female rabbit named Donna, among others. Peter's mission isn't quite an easy task as he has some hurtles along the way, but somehow, he manages to get and come through them in the end.

I've always loved this special, the whole thing is great. I loved every minute of it. There's a recurring gag that involves one of Peter's ears flopping over whenever he fibs, among many, other moments. If anyone reading this needs great recommendations for an Easter special, then he or she can never go wrong with this. This is definitely an essential one, so come along for the ride.

And if that has never occurred, then it should be considered. Even though the second Easter special's running time is shorter than the others. While Antoine tries to fix the machine, they find out that the rules of the contest, however, don't specifically say the eggs must be delivered on Easter, so Peter begins trying to give his eggs away at other holidays unsuccessfully.

On the Fourth of July, he lies to two boys when he tries to sell his eggs as firecrackers. On Halloween, he meets Madame Esmeralda the witch and gives her a Halloween egg. When she calls the other creatures of Halloween together, Irontail sends his pet bat Montresor out to steal and smash Peter's eggs. Fortunately, Peter and Antoine recover all of the eggs. Unfortunately, Peter cannot go back to Halloween to give out the rest of his eggs since Antoine has to land the Yestermorrowbile again to continue with the repairs.

On Christmas Eve, Peter, who continues to fail to sell his "Christmas eggs" while dressed like Santa Claus , meets Bonnie Bonnet, a talking bonnet who left April Valley years ago, all alone in a hat shop, crying because no one will buy her at Christmas. Peter makes a deal with the hat shop owner, trading her his Christmas eggs for Bonnie.

However, Irontail steals the eggs and Peter and Bonnie go after him, accidentally leaving Antoine behind. After demanding Irontail return the eggs to Peter, Santa returns the eggs to Peter, though Peter is unable to thank him due to not knowing how to control the Yestermorrowbile.

Eventually, Peter and Bonnie manage to get the machine to make a stop at a Valentine's Day ice-skating party. There, Peter meets Donna, a lovely girl bunny who immediately takes an interest in one of his Valentine eggs. Unfortunately, while Peter goes skating with Donna, Irontail finds the eggs and casts an evil spell on them, turning them all green, inside and out.

In the end, Peter, having vowed to never boast again and keep his promises, finally manages to give the green eggs away on St.
