How old is new 52 superman

The New 52 pulled the trigger on this romance and it was pretty great. While it was strange for readers who had grown up with the married Lois and Clark, it worked way better than anyone could have imagined as they were equals in every way. There's just something about the relationship between Superman and Lois Lane that is kind of unparalleled in comics.

They're completely complimentary- she's loud and brash with the brains to back it all up, as human as can be, and he's quiet and self assured, a god moving among mortals. There's just something about their chemistry and the way they play off each other, something that no other love interest of Superman has ever been able to replicate.

Lois and Clark make sense in a weird way. On paper, it seems like it should never work but in practice, it's the perfect relationship that everyone wishes they were a part of. In the New 52, the timeline of the DC Universe was changed. In this new continuity, art imitated life and Superman was the first superhero to go public.

He helped to found the Justice League when they went up against Darkseid , stopping his conquest of the Earth. The New 52 made Superman into the thing he used to be- the Alpha superhero, a founding member of the Justice League, and the shining star that all of the DC Universe aspired to be like.

Post- Crisis Superman was around a lot longer, so this may be a bit unfair, but when it comes right down to it, readers got to watch him fight some of the biggest battles in comic history. Supervillains, gods, and monsters all fell before his might and while Superman has never had the deepest bench of great villains in comics , he faced a lot of powerful and interesting threats over the years.

This version of Superman did it all, battling alongside his compatriots in the Justice League and beyond, battling some of the greatest threats in the DC Universe and fans had a front row seat for decades. Superman is a very difficult character to work with.

He's become so iconic that any little change is greeted with derision by long time fans and that befell New 52 Superman a lot of the time. As with many things the New 52 did , there was vocal fan reaction against the changes made to Superman, but that doesn't mean that they were bad. In fact, that creators were willing to make any kind of changes to the Superman formula, even some of the safe ones that were made with the New 52 Superman, says something about this version of the character.

So while I agree that it SHOULD be more than a year now since Joker's return happened with DoTF which was already a while ago now , his own continuity hasn't progressed him that far just yet his relationship with Wonder Woman for example is still relatively new in the Psi War arc, despite happening in JL 12 wasn't it? Hence my original assertion he's somewhere between 27 and 29 maximum.

I was just saying that strictly speaking if we go off what his own titles are telling us, he's still 27 - which personally to me doesn't work but that's what it is. That's Lodbell for ya. Fair enough - it's about to end obviously and is actually had an interesting development - they've introduced Psycho Pirate this way and he actually comes off alright - I like the redesign.

Also they've hinted again at Superman having psionic powers of some sort - ones he's not even aware of. They're definately planning on going somewhere with this. I don't like to think of Superman as too old. Man of Steel had 33 and that sounds like a good number. Over a thousand years, since he spent a thousand years in valhalla with Wonder Woman and Thor fighting demons.

I saw his face As long as he is powered by the Sun I doubt he will die of old age. In the New 52 depending on the artist he can look anywhere from mid twenties to early thirties. Because staying in the sun in kind of lame. Pre-Flashpoint is 1,ish, as he lived with Wonder Woman for 1, years and started his long Superman career in his mid's.

Overall, the New 52 period lasted about years in universe time from the Justice League's origin to the Rebirth issue. So I'd guess New 52 Superman would be 30 or early 30s before his death. Im assuming Superman ages as normal humans however his physique and health remains at optimal point - I cant imagine what it would look like when he is over years of age though.

The answer is… it depends. Determining the age of Superman is especially challenging given how many different versions of the character have existed over the years. Depending on the storyline, Superman may be just starting his career as a hero Superman for All Seasons or be returning after years of retirement Kingdom Come. In any case, most storylines generally depict Superman as either young, old, or in his prime while never explicitly stating his age.

However, piecing together context clues across various comics can bring us closer to an exact number. Since Superboy 90 shows Lois and Clark to have been in high school at the same time, the Big Blue Boy Scout would logically also have to be somewhere in his 20s, likely a little older than Lois. That works for the old-school Action Comics, but what about more recent series? Then, in issue 4, the story flashes forward a few years to when Clark is working at the Daily Planet in Metropolis, but has yet to make his debut as Superman.
